Former spouse of Frances Cobain seeks alimony

The divorce process can be an emotional and costly procedure to end a marital union; however, when couples in New Mexico and elsewhere believe that it is time to call it quits, spouses will likely bare the burdens that come with the process. One of those burdens a spouse might face could be alimony. If it is determined that one spouse has financial needs and requires support to cover the person’s living expenses, spousal support will likely be awarded if that spouse requests it during dissolution.

According to recent celebrity reports, Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of the late rock legend Kurt Cobain, is getting a divorce from her husband Isaiah Silva. And based on reports, the former musician of the band Eeries is requesting alimony from Cobain. Silva is seeking $25,000 a month or $300,000 a year is spousal support.

The 31-year-old musician claims that he put his career on hold and abandoned his steady employment when he married Cobain in June 2014, which entitles him to alimony in this divorce. At this time, no prenuptial agreement is reported. It was also asserted that Cobain promised Silva that she would pay for private schooling and housing bills for his 7-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. However, Silva contends that Cobain is abandoning them, leaving him too broke to care for his own child.

It is believed that Isaiah Siva is also trying to get his hands on the estate of the estate of Kurt Cobain, which is valued at around $450 million. However, Frances Cobain, and her mother rocker Courtney Love, are not concerned by this cash grab attempt.
